The story behind the Octopus
During semester 2 I had to design a professional identity, this included making a style guide and logo. By all means I wanted my logo to represent my person as accurate as possible.
Personally, I liked the idea of having an animal as a logo. So I did research on google on what animal would best fit my behavior.
The results.. An Octopus?.. Well.. To be fair, that is a reasonable pick for a behavioral counterpart.
So.. An octopus?. They are strange beings, they just vibe on the bottom of the ocean. No one knows what they are doing. But besides that, Octopi are very crafty, creative, and mysterious? A perfect description for an artistic person it seems.
The Logo's Third Dimension Breach
The octopus took his first strides into the realm of 3D to flourish. This means that I can now make him vibe on the front page of my portfolio and do other octopus related things.
Octopus Brand Style Guide
How do both my portfolio and resume have such great visual cohesion? Well, this is because of a printable brand style guide I made during semester 2.
This style guide is meant to be passed to other creators as a set of guidelines for them to use.
